It’s no secret sales in the insurance industry comes down to just a few things…pricing (which doesn’t have to be a deal breaker) and more importantly…relationships. But we all know you can’t build a relationship without trust, so how can you build trust with someone you haven’t talked to yet?
The answer is to show potential prospects that YOU are the expert in town. Agents can go about this several ways…maybe through media marketing via TV or Radio ads ($$$) or even by trying to get in on speaking engagements through other events (time plus $$$). But the power in trust comes not from shoving your “expertise” down someone else’s throat, but is truly effective when the prospects draws their own conclusion that you are the expert without you having to tell them!
Enter the coverage conversation tools! I’ve attached links to them below: (Please note to check with any companies you work with/for to make sure you are following their guidelines).
Coverage Conversation Sheet
Insurance Shopper Sheet
These sheets are what I advise all my agents to send with any and all quote communications. They allow the customer to educate themselves with use of a helpful, customer friendly guide that will give THEM education into insurance. The Shopper guide is another tool they can use when shopping for insurance and makes the focus on things other than price.
The reason these work so well is that when they are using the guides and finding answers from them…they inheritly will start seeing YOU as the expert for supplying them with such things! Of course as you will see on the sheets, you will want to put your agency’s info throughout, so if there is a question they have easy contact with you.
So please see if these helpful tools have a place in your agency (they are 100% customizable and copyright free)!
